Background Information

The Mahanaim Foundation is broken into three parts.  The foundation helps children in impoverished families by providing financial support for food and education, enabling many needy kids to stay at home with their parents.  In addition, the foundation provides support for troubled teens.  We have enabled many of these kids to get back on track and lead productive lives.  Lastly, the foundation supports Mahanaim Village Orphanage.  The foundation was started by Paulus and his wife 35 years ago.  He built the original orphanage himself and relied on donations throughout the years to keep it running.  As the years came and went, financing became more and more difficult until eventually Paulus was unable to keep up with repairs and education.  The stress of providing led to a stroke about 4 years ago.  Renee and I were introduced to Paulus and Mahanaim 6 years ago and since then we have been able to relieve much of the fund raising stress that Paulus was under.  For the first time in 10 years the orphanage was able to grow in instead o shrink.
